Pinnacles Desert wallpaper, Wishing for a Solar power system, Warnings issued on flu drugs

November 25, 2007 by tangledwing

Pinnacles Desert wallpaper

This columns, located in western Australia are made of limestone. An odd confluence of things had to happen for them to form. My expertise in geology is a little lite so for those that are interested there is a fuller explanation of how the Pinnacles formed here.

Not a very sentimental gift, but one of the writers over at Wired Magazine has a solar power system from Solar Depot on his Christmas wish list, The Benefits of Investing in a Sol-Gen™ Solar Power System

Energy Independence

• Generate your own power & bank your excess power in the utility grid with net-metering
• Virtually maintenance-free systems
• 25-year warranty for solar panels with 40-year life

Label warnings advised for flu drugs

Government health regulators are recommending adding label precautions about neurological problems seen in children who have taken flu drugs made by Roche and GlaxoSmithKline. The Food and Drug Administration released its safety review of Roche’s Tamiflu and Glaxo’s Relenza yesterday. Next week, an outside group of pediatric experts is scheduled to review the safety of several such drugs when used in children. The FDA began reviewing Tamiflu’s safety in 2005 after receiving reports of children experiencing neurological problems, including hallucinations and convulsions.

  • The wallpapers

Many of the wallpapers were uploaded at certain sizes and resized by the picture host so in most cases you'll have to resize them to fit your monitor. I've looked into several options, but can't find a host that is free, reliable and keeps the original size. The well known ad supported hosts will delete any photo that has not be downloaded for a while so they're out. Any money I spend on the this blog I would rather spend on the graphics then the place to host them.
